GREECE AND GNTO WIN TOP HONORS AT THE TRAVVY AWARDS 2025 IN THE US
Greece has once again proven it’s one of the world’s favorite travel destinations, taking home major wins at the 2025 Travvy Awards—often called the “Oscars” of the US travel industry.
The awards, organized by TravelPulse and Northstar Travel Group, are voted on by thousands of travel advisors, making them one of the most trusted honors in global tourism.
At the ceremony on November 6 at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center, Greece earned:
- Gold – Best Destination: Mediterranean
- Gold – Best Cruise Destination: Europe
- Silver – Best Destination: Europe
The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) also won Bronze – Best Tourism Board: Europe, highlighting Greece’s strong brand and the GNTO’s successful promotion efforts abroad.
According to the GNTO, these distinctions show the continued trust travelers place in Greece for its hospitality, safety, and authentic experiences.
Representing Greece at the event were Konstantinos Charokopos, Head of GNTO North America, and Faye Georgousi.
Charokopos noted, “These honors reflect the teamwork of the GNTO and tourism professionals who showcase the unique experience Greece offers.”
Greece’s winning streak continued at the 2025 Recommend Readers’ Choice Awards, where it received Silver – Best Overall Destination: Europe.
Italy took Gold, while France and Spain tied for Bronze. The results show Greece remains a top choice for North American travelers seeking culture, gastronomy, and high-quality travel experiences.
